Farm tractors are often considered a farmers best friend, but in some cases, they can turn out to be a farmer’s worst enemy.  Tractors are one of the most dangerous pieces of machinery ever created.  They are the major cause of occupational fatalities in agricultural regions.  On average, one person dies every 3 days caused by tractor rollovers.  As the deaths due to tractor rollovers increase the need for protection increase as well.  Tractor accidents are preventable and the injuries and deaths due to tractor rollovers can be greatly reduced if proper protection were used.

    Tractor rollovers happen when the center of gravity moves outside of the stability line, either to the side or the rear of the tractor. The center of gravity must be kept within the stability line to keep the tractor right side up.   When gravity is no longer able to play its role, the tractor is then on its own, usually resulting in a roll over and causing serious injury or even death.
